Overview
Conveniently located off the N2 highway in Pinelands, Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital is one of Cape Town’s oldest and most established hospitals with an excellent reputation for quality and clinical excellence. Complementing the outstanding facilities is a dedicated team of first-class healthcare professionals who are truly focused on the personal needs of patients and their families, and while the hospital caters to all medical and surgical disciplines, they are continually striving to improve the hospital facilities, standards and technology.
The hospital boasts a range of complementary services that enhance the medical and surgical specialities and ensure a continuum of care for our patients.
These include:
- a state of the art Life Oncology centre that caters for both chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
- a 36-bed Life Rehabilitation unit for patients disabled by traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and other disabling conditions,
- a 35-bed acute Life Mental Health facility, Life St Vincent’s, including 6 assisted beds, and
- a 18-station Life Renal Dialysis unit for patients needing renal care,

- Maternity: 10h00 – 11h00 (Grandparents); 15h00 to 16h00; 19h15 - 20h15 (Only patients own children are allowed to visit)
- Paediatric Wards/ICU: 1 parent can room in, other parent during visiting hours
- Neonatal ICU: Parent may visit together, twice a day.
- Life Rehabilitation Unit:
- Monday – Saturday 15:00 – 17:00 and 19:00 – 20:00.
- Sunday + Public Holidays 10:00 – 11:30, 15:00 – 17:00 and 19:00 – 20:00.
- Life Mental Health (St Vincent’s): Weekdays 18h00 to 20h00 and weekends 14h00 to 16h00 and 18h00 to 20h00.
