Going into hospital

What to expect

No matter what your age, going into hospital can be daunting, but Life Healthcare wants you to know that we are walking every step of the patient journey with you.

What is the patient journey?

A visit to your GP who decides to refer you to a specialist, who then decides to admit you to hospital for treatment.

  • Pre-admission
  • Admission and/or procedure
  • Post-op essentials, including your hospital stay
  • Discharge planning
  • Rehabilitation or follow-up consultations

Alternatively, your patient journey may involve a visit to the emergency unit, followed by admission to hospital.
