Bed rest and a quiet hospital environment is vital for healing. To facilitate patients healing and
recovery, we believe in integrating their loved ones into their day and we know what a difference the support, care and love of close family and friends can make. However, in the interest of our patients wellbeing and the much needed rest that all of our patients require, we do enforce visiting times, limitations to the number of visitors per patient and age restriction regulations for children. GENERAL WARDS
(Medical / Orthopaedic / Gynaecology / Neurology / Cardiology / Oncology / Surgical)
- Early mornings: 07h00 – 07h30 (only for a quick greeting before work)
- Mornings: 10h30 – 11h30
- Afternoons: 15h00 – 16h00
- Evenings: 19h00 – 20h00
- Only two visitors per patient are allowed
- No children are allowed in the oncology and medical wards
INTENSIVE CARE UNITS
Multi ICU (MICU)
- Mornings: 11h30 – 12h00
- Afternoons: 15h00 – 16h00
- Evenings: 19h00 – 20h00
- Only two visitors per patient are allowed
- No children under the age of 12 allowed
Neuro ICU (NICU)
- Mornings: 11h00 - 12h00
- Afternoons: 17h00 - 18h00
- Evenings: 19h00 - 20h00
- Only two visitors per patient are allowed
- No children under the age of 12 allowed
Cardio ICU (CICU)
- Mornings: 11h00 – 12h00
- Afternoons: 16h00 – 17h00
- Evenings: 19h00 – 20h00
- Only two visitors per patient are allowed
- No children under the age of 12 allowed
Neonatal ICU (NNICU)
- Parents: 10h00 – 17h00 and 20h00 – 22h00
- Grandparents and immediate siblings :15h00 – 16h00
- Only two visitors per patient is allowed
- No children under the age of 12 allowed
Paediatric ICU (PICU)
- Parents: 10h00 – 17h00 and 20h00 - 22h00
- Grandparents and immediate siblings: 15h00 – 16h00
- Only two visitors per patient are allowed
- No children under the age of 12 allowed.
Maternity Ward
- Husband / Partner / Grandparents / Siblings: 10h00 – 20h00, except during the rest period from 13h00 – 15h00.
- Family and friends: 15h00 – 16h00 and 19h00 – 20h00
Paediatric Ward
- Parents and grandparents: open visiting time.
- Only two visitors per patient are allowed.
- Only one parent may stay overnight after 20h00.
- No children or siblings under the age of 12 are allowed in the ward or ward play area.
Day Ward
- Only two visitors at a time for no more than 30 minutes.
- One family member or friend may stay with the patient during the day.
Renal Unit
- No visitors are allowed in the Renal Unit due to high infection risks for our patients.
Emergency Unit
- Only one family member will be allowed with the patient next to the bedside.
- A visitor may be asked to leave the bedside when certain procedures are carried out. Feedback will be given to the family as soon as possible by the doctor or staff.
