A vacancy exists for a Stock Controller at Life Westville Hospital, reporting to the Inventory Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning and co-ordination of stock in pharmacy and the wards in the hospital.
- Critical Outputs
-
- Issue and capture requisitions of stock to the Wards / Theatres & completion of credits daily
- Perform cycle counts and stock takes as well as capture stock takes, investigate variances in Pharmacy and wards / Theatres.
- Stock control and assist with stock procurement
- Ensure accurate receiving, receipting and distribution of stock to the hospital.
- Address supplier queries, credits and unreconciled invoices
- Managing Unrecorded Liabilities, MIR6 and GRIR reports as appropriate Perform stock rotation and expiry dates checks of all stock items systematically
- Management of negative stock, deadstock & overstocked items.
- Assisting with Consignment and prosthesis billing
- Requirements
-
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Candidate will need to be self-motivated and self-disciplined. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure and in a stressful environment
- Experience in hospital stock control for at least 3 years, SAP experience would be advantageous
- Computer proficiency is essential
- Experience with inventory management or relevant experience within a pharmaceutical environment
- Scheduled overtime
- Consignment and prosthesis experience is advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Responsible and mature, team player, reliable and trustworthy
- Good inter-personal skills. Must be customer orientated with a commitment towards continuous improvement
