A vacancy exists for a Stock Controller at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital, reporting to Casilia Moodley, the Inventory Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of the Pharmacy/Inventory Department.
- Critical Outputs

- Consignment and Loan Stock process management
- Requesting invoices from suppliers for consignment and loan stock utilised
- Ensuring accurate and timeous charging of consignment and loan stock to patient accounts
- Ensuring monthly physical counts of consignment stock with supplier representatives
- Ensuring zero discrepancy between physical consignment stock and electronic stock systems
- Ensuring consignment agreements are reviewed and signed annually or as required.
- Reviewing and actioning GRIR, MIR6 and unrecorded liabilities
- Place orders, manage receipting, resolve price queries and ensure timely closure of all related files.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve outstanding issues, including credit notes, and pending orders.
- General administrative functions as requested
- Maintenance of the Pharmacy, including cleanliness and neatness of the Pharmacy.
- Establish and maintain a good relationship with Doctors and Staff
- Flexibility as per the Pharmacy’s operational requirements
- Requirements
-
- Grade 12
- Hospital / theatre stock management experience is essential
- Consignment and loan stock management experience advantageous
- Computer literacy with data analytics is essential
- Strong SAP reporting and spreadsheet-based data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and by email
- Responsible and Mature, Team Player, Reliable and trustworthy
- Good interpersonal skills. Must be customer orientated, with a commitment towards continuous improvement.
- Respectful of time and meeting deadlines
- Candidate will need to be self-motivated and self-disciplined. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
