A vacancy exists for a Stock Controller(fixed term contract) at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital, reporting to Casilia Moodley, the Inventory Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of this unit.
- Critical Outputs

- Assisting with the procurement of surgical stock and special orders
- Follow up on open orders and backorders
- Managing Inter Hospital sales and orders, including excess stock advertising and procurement.
- Monitoring negative stock and item valuation reports and driving dead stock reduction initiatives.
- Supporting wards with stock-related queries and system maintenance.
- Reporting stock-related issues and implementing corrective action plans.
- Assisting with cycle counts and stock takes, capturing results and investigating variances.
- Supporting stock control processes and reporting, including bin maintenance.
- Reviewing and actioning Unrecorded Liabilities, GRIR and MIR6 reports daily.
- Following up with suppliers on credit notes outstanding invoices, outstanding orders.
- Actioning queries and requests from Financial Services Center (FSC).
- Reviewing Purchase price comparison report daily and escalating price queries to Procurement.
- Managing all Renal-related orders, receipts, and PD processes
- Provide backup support to Theatre Stock Controllers, including the management of all consignment and loan stock billing, orders and closing of files.
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve outstanding issues, including credit notes, and pending orders.
- Performing general administrative duties as required
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the Pharmacy stockroom
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with doctors and staff
- Demonstrating flexibility in line with the Pharmacy’s operational requirements
- Requirements

- Grade 12
- Proven experience in Hospital surgical stock management experience is essential
- Computer literacy with data analytics is essential
- Advanced SAP reporting and spreadsheet-based data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Self motivated, disciplined, and reliable
