A vacancy exists for a stock controller in the theatre at Life Mount Edgecombe Hospital. Reporting to the Theatre Manager, the successful candidate candidate will contribute to the effective management of stock in the unit.
- Critical Outputs
-
- ensuring accurate receiving and receipting of ethical and surgical stock on the SAP system
- Filing of paperwork systematically to ensure easy retrieval for queries or audit purposes
- Investigation and resolution of all finance related queries for pharmacy purchases
- Active engagement with relevant stakeholders regarding invoice payment queries
- Active involvement in stock-takes and cycle counts.
- Dead stock and short dated stock management
- Managing the procurement, control and distribution of surgical stock
- Ensuring that the accurate prosthesis and consignment process is followed
- Capture of AMS data on the Infoquest system
- Capturing of price queries, new product requests, product complaints and out of stocks on the Infoquest system
- Reviewing of negative stock, open purchase orders and discontinued codes
- Resolving queries from relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring a culture of quality in our business and operational excellence.
- Any other task that the line manager may deem necessary
- Requirements
-
- Matriculant (Grade 12)
- Experience within inventory management or relevant experience within a pharmaceutical environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes, procedures and practices.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively.

- Computer literacy
- Candidate will need to be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- Attention to detail and the ability to worik accurately under pressure.
- Stock control experience (Hospital theatre experience advantageous)
