A vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse ICU Experienced, based at Life Wilgers Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing holistic and optimal quality nursing care to critically ill patients in order to maximize a positive outcome for the customer in line with Company & Hospital strategic objectives.
- Critical Outputs

- Conduct basic duties to meet the requirements of quality patient care, ensuring that all nursing activities carried out comply with SANC regulations, relevant legislations and Life Healthcare policies and procedures.
- Stock control and equipment maintenance (including pharmacy stock)
- Infection control
- Maintenance and promotion of safety
- Cost effective management of labour hours according to the flexible hours system
- In service training and education
- Effective record keeping
- Continued education of patients
- Requirements

- Must be a Registered Nurse registered with SANC.
- A formal Critical care qualification or experience in a Cardiology & Cardiac Thoracic ICU is a pre requisite.
- Competencies required: team player, very energetic, well organized, an ability to work calmly under urgent/difficult circumstances as part of a team, quality and performance orientation.
- Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
- Strong inter-personal skills required.
- Must be willing to work according to the flexi-hours system and be able to work day and night duties
