A vacancy exists for a Porter Supervisor based at Life Flora Hospital, reporting to Adele Petersen, Services Manager. The successful candidates will be part of a professional team that is continuously striving for the highest standards of quality in healthcare.
- Critical Outputs

- Effective communication and good customer service skills
- Ensure effective call distribution to repartees and management for the collection and return of ward patients
- Efficient management of Staff, scheduling & timekeeping on Kronos
- Ensure monthly meetings are held with staff, mandatory training and effective record keeping thereof
- Assist patients to Dr’s rooms
- All ward patients scheduled for procedures are collected from and returned to the wards
- Manage daily checking of Oxygen cylinders in the units.
- Managing and record keeping of wheelchair and evacuation chair checks to ensure patient and staff safety
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures eg: Shoe policy, Bare below elbow policy and hand hygiene policy.
- Adhoc requests when required within reason
- Requirements

- Matric or equivalent
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Work overtime when required.
- Physically Fit
- Basic computer literacy, good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
