A vacancy exists for a Catering Supervisor based at Life Wilgers Hospital, reporting to the Catering Manager.
- Critical Outputs
-
- Co-ordination of Patient menus and special patient diets.
- Stock control, stock issuing and stock receiving
- Serving and portion control
- Quality control
- Supervision during food preparations
- Hygiene and safety
- Training and development of staff
- Budget control
- Good knowledge of SHEQ and Health and safety requirements
- Knowledge of Digital menu ordering system
- Requirements
-
- Matric / Grade 12
- At least 5 years’ experience in Healthcare catering
- Computer literate (MS word and Excel)
- Knowledge of Digital menu ordering system
- Background of food preparation and special diet requirements, must have in-depth knowledge of therapeutic diets.
- Must be willing to work shifts.
- Good people skills and communication
- Strong leadership qualities, be able to lead a shift.
