Life Healthcare is proud to announce the construction of a new state-of-the-art hospital in Paarl, Western Cape in association with Reakopana Healthcare and developed by Giflo Medical in association with Fairwater. Groundbreaking for Life Paarl Valley Hospital is expected to be in late 2025 with the building completed by end 2027.
The facility will offer world-class, patient-centred care to the community of Paarl and its surrounding areas including Wellington, Tulbagh, Ceres, Worcester and Franschhoek. Life Paarl Valley Hospital will be a 140-bed acute hospital, and will include a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, cardiothoracic unit, ICU, paediatric ICU, and neonatal facilities, amongst other specialist services, and a 24-hour emergency unit.
“We are dedicated to creating a healthcare environment where patients receive quality patient-centered care, supported by advanced medical technology and a team of highly skilled professionals”, says Life Healthcare regional manager, Adriaan Jordaan.
The construction of Life Paarl Valley Hospital will bring numerous benefits to the local community. “The new hospital will provide residents of Paarl and surrounding areas with access to high-quality medical care, reducing the need to travel long distances for treatment” says Jordaan.
The hospital will create numerous job opportunities for healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and support personnel, contributing to the local economy. Approximately 60 specialist doctors and allied professionals are expected to work at the facility with an estimated number of employees and supplementary services providers amounting to around 360 people. The facility is being built to allow for future expansions.
This hospital will be Life Healthcare’s first new building development in over 10 years, adding to its current 63 healthcare facilities across the country.
