Life Paarl Valley Hospital is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in the second half of 2027.

Situated in Paarl Valley, in the heart of South Africa’s Cape Winelands, the 140-bed acute hospital will offer world-class, patient-centred care in a lodge-style setting, to the community of Paarl and its surrounding areas. The hospital is located on the corner of Fraaigelegen Road and the R301 between Paarl and Franschhoek - between Boschenmeer Golf and Val de Vie Lifestyle estates.

Life Healthcare, in association with Reakopana Healthcare and developed by Giflo Medical in partnership with Fairwater, is excited to extend its healthcare services to the Paarl area. The hospital will include a cardiac catheterisation laboratory - the only cardiac facility in the area.

The new Life Paarl Valley Hospital will offer the following services:

• A state-of-the-art cardiac catheterisation laboratory;
• Intensive care and high care units;
• 24-hour emergency unit with resuscitation rooms and a procedure room;
• Little Life Maternity unit with labour ward and a neonatal intensive care unit;
• Life Kidz paediatric unit including a paediatric ICU; and
• An operating theatre complex including cardiac theatre, orthopaedic theatres, theatres for major and minor procedures, and an endoscopy unit; and
• Ancillary services including radiology, pathology and pharmacy.
