Overview

Life Riverfield Lodge is situated in the Fourways area, in a tranquil, peaceful setting on the banks of the Jukskei River. At this facility, patient well-being is of the utmost importance to both management and staff. Life Riverfield Lodge is designed to meet the needs of a short-term, in-patient mental health programme, including addictive disorders, as well as a holistic acute rehabilitation programme for people with neurological, spinal and other disabling injuries. At Life Riverfield Lodge, there are a total of 87 beds  and 1 procedure room for electro-convulsive therapy. Our main purpose is to provide quality, holistic, integrated multi-disciplinary rehabilitation and wellness, thereby enabling patients to optimise their quality of life.

Mental health

The mental health services offered at Life Riverfield Lodge include general psychiatry such as the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar mood disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder or other mental health conditions associated with substance use disorders.

Treatment offered include evidence-based drug therapy, individual psychiatric consultations and psychotherapy, group therapy and, where needed, physical therapy.
