Exciting opportunities exists for a Registered Nurse, at an Occupational Health Clinic at Port Elizabeth area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the rendering of a professional wellness service to our client, as Wellness Coordinator. To ensure a quality HIV/AIDS Health Service to establish the physical, psychological, and social wellbeing of the worker in a safe environment.

. PRIMARY HEALTH CARE
- As part of a multidisciplinary team, assist the client to implement a programme through the provision of outreach and walk in services
- In conjunction with the client, conduct a site health needs assessment
- In consultation with the client and other suppliers, compile and implement an annual health awareness plan and programme.
- Provides case management through assessment and monitoring of chronic conditions, developing individual follow-up plan and ensuring employee compliance to treatment regimen.
- Liaise with employees’ private doctors, local health authorities and members of the multidisciplinary team with the intention of providing holistic care to employees.
- Keep accurate and clear records of all Primary Health Care related activities.
- Counseling and testing of HIV and referral of employees as per the client’s policies and procedures.
- Administration and supervision of employees on DOT (TB) programme.
- Participates in meetings and demonstrates genuine desire to develop strategies for improved clinic operations and a high level of patient care.
- Referral and follow-up of cases.
- Provision of vaccinations on request by the client.
- Provide advice to the client on outbreak of communicable diseases.
- Keep accurate statistics on the implementation of all projects.
- Participate in all wellness and health promotion activities
- Promote health and information on health and wellness within workforce
- Analyze sick notes and report on findings on sick absenteeism management
- Assist with disability management services.
- Fulfil quality audit requirements for the site

- Requirements
-
- The candidate must be a current registered Nurse with the SANC.
- Diploma/Degree in General Nursing
- Qualification in Primary Healthcare would be advantageous
- Additional qualification in dispensing
- The candidate should have experience and be competent in basic computer skills, administration, employee relations and communication.
- Candidates who are results orientated, have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs and reduce costs, will be most suitable for this position.
- Perform all duties within the Scope of Practice of a Registered Nursing Practitioner
- Experience in management, administration, financial management, human resource management (including communication and training) are recommended
