Stock Controller
Introduction

Vacancies exists for 2 x Stock Controller positions in the Pharmacy Department at Life Queenstown Private Hospital. The successful candidate will report to the Pharmarcy Manger and will contribute to the effective management of stock in the hospital.

Critical Outputs
  • Taking full responsibility for stock. 
  • Accurate goods receipting of prosthesis and consignment against invoices
  • Assist with investigation of GRIR reports
  • Adhering to all SOP’s relating to stock and its management
  • Daily filing of Invoices and other documentation
  • Drive New item code requests
  • Unpacking and checking of stock
  • Drive the improvement of stock availability
  • Assist to drive stock write-off reduction
  • Assist to manage non-recoverable consumable utilization
  • Drive formulary compliance and best cost formulary compliance
  • Support accurate billing on e-Billing and Ward Impilo systems
  • Ensure all inventory management requirements are met with a specific emphasis on the following aspects:
  • Maintaining stock levels in theatre with minimum out of stocks
  • Achieve and maintain dead stock targets
  • Manage cycle counts and quarterly stock takes including variance investigation
  • Liaise with nursing staff and ward clerks regarding queries and timeous follow up
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Finance experience and knowledge would be an advantage
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • A working knowledge of SAP will be an advantage.
  • Experience within inventory management or relevant experience within a pharmaceutical environment
  • Knowledge of inventory control, processes, procedures and practices
  • Good organisational skills are essential as well as attention to detail.
