A vacancy exists for a Pharmacy Porter (Fixed Term Contract) from 18 May 2026 to 30 September 2026 in our Pharmacy Department based at Life Bayview Private Hospital reporting to Elmarie Marais, Senior Pharmacist. The successful candidate will mainly be responsible for ensuring delivery of uncompromising quality care in line with Company strategic objectives and applicable Health/Nursing legislation.
- Critical Outputs

- To collect and record all prescription cards, credits and requisitions from wards.
- To deliver prescription cards with medication and credits to the wards safely and accurately.
- To ensure To Follow medication is delivered to the correct ward and the relevant ward staff member records their signature on receipt.
- To record and deliver ethical and surgical stock to wards safely, securely and timeously.
- Maintenance of pharmacy including cleanliness and neatness of the Pharmacy
- General administrative function as requested
- Requirements
-
- Grade 12
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays in accordance with the requirements of the hospital.
- Understanding of private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills, the ability to deal with people and be in the front line.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
