A vacancy exists for an Occupational Health Nurse to work 40hrs per week, permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering a quality occupational health service, which is effective and efficient, and exceeds customers’ expectations at an onsite clinic in Isando, Gauteng.
- Critical Outputs
-
- Management of a comprehensive onsite clinic-Medical surveillance, IOD/Occupational Disease management, Primary Healthcare.
- Monitoring the health status of employees through on-going surveillance programmes according to the SOP.
- Ability to apply scientific principles, knowledge of applicable regulations and clinical best practice to advise the client on elimination, control and mitigation of health risks and hazards.
- Compiling of reports with trending analysis.
- Coordination of emergency procedures.
- Working effectively within a budget and ensuring smooth administration of all aspects of the services
- Delivering high quality primary healthcare services.
- Maintenance, calibration and control of clinic equipment.
- Ensure all filing is update and is done accurately, confidentiality of employee information may not be compromised
- Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Health Solutions and the Clients.
- Ensuring the total satisfaction of our clients through continuous improvement and added value
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards including internal and external audits (Life Health Solutions as well as client audits)
- Requirements
-
- The following are essential:
- Degree in Occupational Health Nursing with minimum of 5 years’ full-time experience in Occupational Health Manufacturing
- Valid registration with SANC. NOTE: Occupational Health Nursing qualification must appear on current SANC receipt.
- Certificate in dispensing (accredited dispensing course).
- Certificate in Competency:
- Spirometry
- Audiometry certificate with valid registration as an Audiometrist with SASOHN
- Vision screening
- Valid Basic Life Support certificate
- Computer literacy: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Experience in administration and employee relations.
- Excellent communication skills-verbal and written. Presentations to clients including senior management is required.
- Candidates who are results orientated, have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs will be most suitable for this position.
