A vacancy exists for a Night Quality Co-Coordinator, based at Life Mercantile Hospital reporting to Raathiga Veerapathran, Nursing standards manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cocoordinating and leading provision of quality patient care during the night in support of hospital and nursing objectives of quality, growth and people.
- Critical Outputs

Effective quality management
- Communicating, supporting, coaching and monitoring night staff in order to ensure a safe patient and staff environment
- Identifying clinical competence and addressing the concern with the line manager
- Participating in and leading quality projects to support a culture of quality
Effective operations management
- Ensuring staff allocations are adequately assigned according to the staff predictor and within the labor hour norms of the organization
- Understanding stock management processes to achieve unit targets
- Effectively managing unplanned events to ensure optimal utilization of resources
- Providing direction and inspiring positive work behavior to keep staff motivated and productive
- Reporting any untoward incidents in a timely manner to management
Effective relationship building with internal & external stakeholders
- Displaying visible leadership to night staff and management to ensure productive and motivated teamwork
- Participating in meetings to ensure productive and meaningful relationships with external stakeholders
- Advocate for the Life Healthcare values and GENTLE principles and promote staff cohesion and adherence to these values
- Requirements

- Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Registered with SANC
- Post graduate training in management would be an advantage
- Management experience
- Proven leadership abilities
