A vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance Assistant at Life Nkanyisa Algoa Psych situated in Mission Road, Bethelsdorp, PE. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The successful candidates will contribute towards the effective functioning of the unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients.
- Critical Outputs

- He will be responsible for the restoration/repairs of buildings and equipment, risk management and daily check lists.
- The candidate must have a good understanding of plant equipment.
- He must be self-motivated and disciplined.
- Excellent completion of daily job cards as well as feedback thereof is high priority.
- He will be responsible and involved in SHEQ procedures.
- Excellent fault-finding skills are a must.
- Do basic systems settings, to ensure continuous system availability.
- Execute repairs / tasks as per job card and instructions from Supervisor.
- Perform tasks in order to inspect, check on building structures and facilities in accordance with the preventative maintenance programme as delegated / directed by the Supervisor
- Requirements
-
- Grade 12
- 2 years of maintenance experience
- Proof of competency in either of the following fields: electrical, building, plumbing, carpentry, glazing, welding or tiling.
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills a prerequisite.
- Experience in dealing with customers.
