A vacancy exists for a Human Resources Graduate Intern, at Life Nkanyisa Waverley Care Centre for a duration of 1 year. The position reports to Hospital Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for human resource duties at Life Nkanyisa Waverley Care Centre.

HR value proposition in the Hospital
- Visibility and sound partnership with management and staff in the facility
- Assist in ensuring HR best practices.
- Assist in ensuring Hospital HR plan is aligned to Group and Regional HR strategy.
Resourcing and Talent Management
- Support and assist the line to ensure compliance with effective recruitment and sound processes.
- Assisting with recruitment administrative duties
- Assist and support effective training, development processes.
- Assist with monthly induction and on-boarding of employees administrative duties
- Assist with full recruitment administrative duties function including setting up of interviews, placing advertisements, regret letters to unsuccessful candidates.
Transformation
- Providing administrative support in effective guidance through influence and the promotion of diversity
Effective Employee Relations
- Provide administrative support in ensuring engagement and communication structures are effectively managed with and through the line e.g. consultative forum,
- Providing administrative HR support to management on risk mitigation.
- With line, effectively provide administrative support on day-to-day industrial relations.
Employee Engagement and Enablement
- Provide administrative support to line on effective leadership engagement and enablement in the hospital to enhance the company EVP (including survey actions, reward & recognition, culture)
- Provide administrative support to line on employee productivity in the facility (including performance and absence management)
- Provide administrative support on effective and integrated employee wellness programme
HR Best Practices, Compliance and Risk Mitigation
- Providing administrative support with line managers to ensure best practices, policy and process compliance, successful HR / legal audits, mitigate HR risks.
- Provide administrative support towards employee services by ensuring good administration, accuracy, quality and achievement of deadlines (Kronos and payroll submission deadlines)
HR Projects
- Support line, to effectively drive and implement HR, Functional and Business projects
- Provide MANCO administration support to implement facility initiatives, such as, the retention of key skills
- Provide administrative support and assist with HR related projects on an ad hoc basis as required
- Administrate the uniform ordering and delivery process for the entire hospital.
Training and Development
- Provide administrative support by assisting with planning and organizing relevant training and induction of all newly appointed employees.
- Assist with training administration to make necessary arrangements, such as, sending out invitations, and reminders to the staff.
- Provide administrative support and assist in the compilation of the workplace skills plan and the annual training report.
HR Administration
- Assist in creating and maintaining an appropriate filling system to ensure accurate records of all reports and other documents is maintained.
- Assist in conducting regular audits on employee files to ensure that all paperwork is in the files as per the company audit requirements.
- Attend promptly and politely to human resources related queries from internal and external customers telephonically, in person and in writing as appropriate.
- Provide administrative support in recruitment, new hires, terminations process.
- Administration of all HR records including filling of current employee files and terminations and new appointments.
- Assisting Admin Clerk and FPA with general administration duties as needed
- Assisting line managers with Kronos.
- Providing a prompt, courteous service to all employees
- Requirements

- Relevant HR qualification (NQF 7) – Degree, Advanced Diploma or B-Tech
- Matric/Grade 12
- Knowledge of HR practices and an understanding of SA legislative context
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (excel, word)
