A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse, based Life Knysna Private Hospital Name, reporting to Bianca Rondganger, Acting Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing holistic patient care and to collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders in line with Company & Hospital strategic objectives.

- Conduct duties to meet the requirements of quality patient care, ensuring that all nursing activities carried out comply with SANC regulations, relevant legislations and Life Healthcare policies and procedures
- Maintain all health, safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe patient environment
- Effective utilization of resources
- Effective maintenance of equipment
- Accurate record keeping
- The continued education of patients
- Build effective relationships with patients, doctors and other medical personnel to ensure quality patient care
- Requirements
-
- Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse and Registration with SANC
- Nursing experience in surgical and or general disciplines.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Updated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial relations, standards, codes, ethics, and competency standards.
- Ability to work shifts according to the operational requirements of the hospital which includes day and night duty.
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
