Introduction

An exciting new vacancy exists for an Administration Clerk, based in KZN at specific Life Renal Stand-Alone Clinics, reporting to the National Complementary Services Manager – Renal - Patient Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end Administrative Journey and Billing Process of all Renal Dialysis Treatments- and Stock for Life Renal Care.

Critical Outputs
  • Ensure that all renal patients are on-boarded onto the hospital management system accurately and timeously.
  • Ensure that all haemodialysis treatment modalities and stock for Life Renal Care are authorised, billed, and submitted as described in the working process.
  • Manage all renal treatment authorisations and escalations processes with schemes.
  • Reconcile billing completed for treatment sessions and send to the relevant renal unit for sign off.
  • Facilitate and support the renal units in sending authorisation requests for new Chronic Renal Dialysis patients.
  • Monitor un-posted reports per renal unit to ensure billing is complete and claims are submitted by the agreed time after treatment is completed.
  • Resolve payment queries and rejections within the agreed turnaround time to ensure timeous payments of all accounts.
  • Manage data required by BI to support creation of the renal billing.
  • Daily management of the renal billing error dashboard.
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Computer literacy (Basic MS Office) is a requirement
  • Knowledge of hospital processes, working procedures and medical terminology will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills & experience in dealing with external and internal customers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork
  • Previous experience will be an advantage
  • Strong customer service ethic and ability to organize, plan and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of medical aid funder rules will be an advantage
  • Strong ability to reach KPI’s as agreed at all times
