No cases of novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) at Life Healthcare hospitals
Life Healthcare can confirm that none of its patients have been diagnosed with the novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) to date.
As standard procedure and as per the National Institute of Communicable Diseases’ (NICD) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, patients who have travelled to the affected area, lately, are tested for this virus. In the event that a suspect case is confirmed, the hospital follows all required procedures as per the NICD as well as Life Healthcare’s infection prevention protocols.
“Life Healthcare takes all suspect cases seriously and works closely with the NICD as well as the Department of Health,” says Joy Cleghorn, National Infection Prevention and Risk Manager, Life Healthcare.
