A vacancy exists for a Porter, based in the Pharmacy at Life Beacon Bay Hospital, reporting to Teresa Kriel, Senior Pharmacist. The successful candidate will contribute towards the optimal functioning of patient services by enabling smooth running and support in delivering quality patient care.
- Critical Outputs
-
- Transporting of medication to the wards.
- Collection of prescriptions from the wards.
- Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare Standards.
- Providing prompt, courteous service to all patients, staff, doctors, and any other persons
- Delivering of prescriptions as well as any other goods, to relevant units/personnel within the hospital
- Maintain a safe, clean environment
- Requirements
-
- Grade 12
- Must be able to do weekend calls
- An enthusiastic, motivated, well organized individual with initiative and able to handle pressure.
- Able to work shifts (day or night) and overtime as required. Must be customer service orientated
- Teamwork essential.
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
