Occupational Therapist

An exciting full day opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will be managing the delivery of quality physical and functional assessments and rehabilitation to all care users and supervision of RFA department.

Critical Outputs
  • Perform work capacity assessments
  • Perform work visits and ergonomic assessments where necessary
  • Perform job analyses, risk assessments per job category and profile to determine fitness to work and required intervention and rehabilitation programmes
  • Assist with alternative placement and disability management
  • Plan and implement basic health promotion programs linked to improvement of work capacity
  • Knowledge and understanding of Fatigue Management requirements
  • Adjust on-site programmes to comply with changing legal requirement

  • Understanding of monthly budget and financial requirements as well as cost control
  • Quality assurance and control of the Department
  • Liaison with other interdisciplinary team members
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience will be advantageous
  • Experience in a vocational rehabilitation / work assessment environment advantageous
  • RFA Centre experience
  • Registered with HPCSA
  • Computer Literacy Microsoft Office
  • Medical data base experience advantageous
  • Own transport
  • MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point proficient
