Clinical Directorate Operations Manager

An exciting career opportunity has arisen for the position of Clinical Directorate Operations Manager. The position reports to the Clinical Directorate Executive (South Africa). The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership within Clinical Directorate department by coordinating activities of the Regional Clinical Managers, collaborating with nursing and Business Operations. All the interactions should engender clinical governance, clinical quality and clinical efficiency within the business.

Critical Outputs

Implementation of the Clinical Directorate strategy:

  • Offer support to the Clinical Directorate Executive
  • Drive development of clinical products and clinical protocols
  • Exercise oversight on hospital and Dr clinical efficiency

Entrench clinical governance within the business:

  • ramping up on development of clinical outcomes dashboard and constant monitoring and evaluation of the Clinical Risk Registry
  • Maintain relationships with admitting clinicians

Effective Coordination of Regional Clinical Managers activities:

  • Provide leadership on the activities of the RCMs
  • Support Regional Manager and Function on managing RCMs
  • Offer guidance and support on Dr stakeholder engagements

Regular engagement with Regional Mangers: Business Operations:

  • Meeting with the regional managers on a regular basis to share information on Research, Development and Implementation of clinical products
  • Provide regular feedback on clinical efficiency outlier hospitals
  • Share concerning clinical risk trends with the business regularly
  • Participate in the Life Healthcare research committee
  • Full registration with the HPCSA as a medical practitioner is mandatory
  • Post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage
  • Broad experience of South African clinical practice
  • Knowledge of South African private health sector as well as South African Health legislation
  • Previous local clinical leadership or clinical management experience
