A vacancy is available for a Change Specialist at Head Office, reporting to the Organisational Change Lead SA. The role involves working on various Business Transformation projects in a matrix structure, focusing on the people side of change, including business processes, systems, technology, new products and services, acquisitions and mergers, job roles, and organisational structures. Key responsibilities involve developing and executing change management plans to enhance employee adoption and reduce resistance. The role requires designing communication and training materials to support people adoption. Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential. Expertise in developing and delivering training materials is required. The environment is fast-paced, innovative, agile, exciting, and intellectually stimulating.

Key areas of responsibility:
- Builds relationships with project owner and / or business owners, stakeholders, and project team members to gain an understanding of the project goals and objectives.
- Gain a clear understanding of the current state and future state impacting the change required of impacted end-users, in regard to systems, tools, processes and people.
- In conjunction with the initiate owner/s and business analyst, document the impacted end-user’s analysis, design a stakeholder matrix, and perform a gap analysis which will inform the complexity of the change and degree of change support required.
- Develop, design and implement relevant training plans and material, and communication plans and content to support the changes.
- Support and manage all approved business training digital solutions and learner management platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Implement a systematic change management approach and facilitate change management initiatives across various projects.
- Develop a change approach and change management plans to support the change.
- Design and develop change management plans, flight plans, and presentations.
- Monitor and track delivery and progress, realigning plans with project timelines, as necessary.
- Develop and submit change management feedback reports and presentations.
- Design, develop, deliver, and manage communications across all projects.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify and design stakeholder maps.
- Conduct various surveys, including training assessments, pulse checks, and post-go-live adoption surveys.
- Assist with the administration and support of focus group sessions with impacted end-users to collaboratively build change solutions.
- Prepare change management reports, including working committee, Steercom, and month-end reports.
Support communication efforts:
- Plan and coordinate all kick-off and onboarding sessions.
- Assist business owners with the consolidation of onboarding presentations.
- Manage and support all project operational communication to ensure all project team members are kept abreast and updated of the progress of the project.
Support training efforts:
- Provide input, document requirements and support the design of training programs.
- Deliver training programs.
- Assist with the creation of training plans.
- Builds training material (including slides, guides and manuals).
- Coordinates all communication and logistics of training venues, network, equipment, and diary invites.
People adoption metrics:
- Agree on clear success metrics, milestone goals, and timing with the project or business owner to ensure the initiative stays on track and adoption metrics are met post-launch.
- Create a strategy and metrics to track adoption speed and proficiency and identify areas needing more change support.
- Report any people issues, risks, or obstacles and collaborate with the project owner and manager to develop action plans.
- Escalate unsolvable issues to the project owner, manager, and Organisational Change Lead.
- Provide input to the change budgets for the overall project CEP and monitor costs against budget.
- Requirements

- Qualification aligned to Organisational Change, Organisational Development, Psychology, Training and Development, and/or Human Resources or an equivalent NQF level 7 is essential.
- 5-7 years’ experience leading people change across large scale transformation projects in a large organisation.
- Previous healthcare experience is preferable or working within a large organisation that manages complex change.
- Change Management accreditation with Prosci or a similar accredited institution is preferable.
- Computer proficiency at an advanced level.
