Business Process and Support Lead
Introduction

The Business Process and Support Lead is responsible for developing and supporting functional processes, delivering process value analysis and setting the process direction across the company. The role is responsible for process alignment and standardisation through SAP and related technology implementations. The BPSL is also responsible for ensuring the integration of functional and operational business processes to deliver an effective and efficient end-to-end processes. This position will focus specifically on the following areas: Procurement, Inventory management (Pharmacy stock) and Plant maintenance.

Critical Outputs
  • Effectively manage relationships with the business and provide professional leadership, influence and two-way communication.
  • Effectively manages a team to deliver business initiatives on time, in full and within quality requirement and budget.
  • Effectively manages all aspects of the team – includes; performance, recruitment, development and retention.
  • Manage people resources effectively to ensure sound productivity, deliverables and relationships
  • Develops the capability and competence to support the Business in terms of processes and business systems.
  • Identify in conjunction with business, prioritising and managing demand and supply of new Business Initiatives
  • Support the Business Process and Support Manager in communicating and driving adoption of the business processes and system changes
  • Manage SAP and/or other enablement system changes and new roll-outs with respect to business processes, blue-print development, configuration, access and support business readiness and change management
  • Prepare for and drive user acceptance testing by identifying risk and inefficiencies while testing the application functionality
  • Set master data standards and establish common set of practices, principles and templates including standardisation of processes,
  • Ensure availability of relevant training material to support effective execution of business processes.
  • In collaboration with the business ensure effective change management to support successful implementations
  • Ensure adoption and embedding of standardised business processes, ensuring understanding of enabling technologies and compliance to principles
  • Define, maintain and monitor relevant performance metrics for business processes and for the specific process area
  • Manage the structure for escalation and resolution of business change requests and assessment of new process and business systems requirements
  • Review change requests and serve as the final change authority for process and business system changes
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and knowledge regarding the systems, to all role players, and provide user support as required, in liaison with the Helpdesk.
  • Monitor and assess the extent to which the business systems functionalities, performance, etc. meet/satisfy user requirements.
  • Ultimately responsible for day to day Business support
  • Manage Service level delivery according to agreed and signed off SLA’s.
  • Investigate incidents and problem reports regarding the business systems and assist with problem resolution.
Requirements
  • 10 Years’ experience in operations/project management in healthcare industry
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business qualification.
  • Experience of more than one area within the function is required e.g. inventory management (Pharmacy stock), procurement and finance
  • Extensive project and program management experience is preferred with process or system related project experience an advantage
  • Proven track record of integration across functions/business areas
  • SAP experience – Preferred
