Billing Supervisor
Introduction

An exciting new vacancy exists for a Billing Supervisor (FTC), based at Life Healthcare Head Office, Oxford Park, reporting to the National Complementary Services Manager – Patient Services. The successful candidates will be responsible for the end-to-end Administrative Journey and Billing Process of all Renal Dialysis Treatments for Life Renal Care.

Critical Outputs
  • Ensure that all renal patients are on-boarded onto the hospital management system accurately and timeously.
  • Ensure that all haemodialysis treatment modalities for Life Renal Care are authorised, billed, and submitted as described in the working process.
  • Manage all renal treatment authorisations and escalations processes with schemes.
  • Reconcile billing completed for treatment sessions and send to the relevant renal unit for sign off.
  • Facilitate and support the renal units in sending authorisation requests for new Chronic Renal Dialysis patients.
  • Monitor un-posted reports per renal unit to ensure billing is complete and claims are submitted by the agreed time after treatment is completed.
  • Manage data required by BI to support creation of the renal billing.
  • Manage daily management reports to ensure that all activities in Life Renal Care Clinics are accurately captured daily within the target KPI established.
  • Manage the reconciliation process at the end of every billing day to ensure that revenue of all the renal activities are captured accurately and timeously.
  • Manage the claims management process to ensure optimal cash flow and minimal queries, short payments and non-payments.
  • Manage all queries and short payments within the agreed turnaround time to ensure claims queries are resolved within the agreed turnaround time.
  • Manage the administrative teams to ensure stable capacity and coherent and collaborative function within the team, but also with all the renal units nationally to ensure a seamless, efficient administrative service delivery to the renal facilities and all our patients
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Computer literacy (Basic MS Office) is a requirement
  • Knowledge of hospital processes, working procedures and medical terminology will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills & experience in dealing with external and internal customers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork
  • Previous experience will be an advantage
  • Strong customer service ethic and ability to organize, plan and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of medical aid funder rules will be an advantage
  • Strong ability to reach KPI’s as agreed at all times
