Our renal facility
The renal unit at Life St James Hospital opened in December 2009 with seven beds.
The unit has been especially designed with the comfort of our patients, who spend
a great deal of time in the unit, in mind.
Our renal services
Our highly skilled and experienced multi-disciplinary medical and nursing team is
committed to delivering a high quality service to our patients.
We offer the following:
- Chronic haemodialysis – three times per week
- Acute haemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy and plasma exchange for acute renal failure
- Peritoneal dialysis
- Automated peritoneal dialysis
Complementary services

- Dietary advice
- Lifestyle training
- Pre-dialysis counselling
