Overview

Life Healthcare is the leading provider of private acute mental healthcare services in South Africa. These services are provided at six dedicated mental health facilities, located in the Eastern Cape Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal. The group is currently in the process of relocating and expanding its mental health facility in Durban, and is also developing a seventh facility in Gauteng, due to open early in 2012. This will bring the number of dedicated acute mental health beds it operates to 388.

Eastern Cape

• Life Hunterscraig Private Hospital – Central, Port Elizabeth
• Life St Marks Clinic – Southerwood, East London

Gauteng

• Life Glynnview – Benoni
• Life New Kensington Clinic - Kensington, Johannesburg
• Life Riverfield Lodge – Fourways area, Johannesburg

KwaZulu-Natal

• Life Entabeni Hospital* - Berea, Durban

  * This mental health unit will be relocating to Nazareth House, across the road from
  Life Entabeni Hospital. Life St Joseph's, as the new facility will be known, will open with
  80 beds in October 2011.
