Life Healthcare is well known for quality care. Our specialists and staff are dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality service.

Our maternity facilities are modern. Accommodation is generally offered in private, semi-private and smaller general wards – thus providing new mothers with choice to suit their specific needs. Neonatal intensive care or high care facilities are usually on hand for premature or full-term babies who may need specialised care.

The safety of the babies in our care is of the utmost importance to us, and parents can have peace of mind knowing that our facilities are fully secured and that the strictest safety measures are applied at all times.

Our hospitals monitor their patients' views on all aspects of their service on an ongoing basis, in order to ensure that their service continues to satisfy patients' needs.

So, if you share our view that only the best is good enough for mother and baby, make sure that you book into a Little Life maternity units for your confinement.

Falling pregnant

Ovulation calendar

One of the tools you can use to improve your chances of conceiving, is the ovulation calculator. This will help you determine the dates when you are most fertile and hence, are most likely to conceive.

You cannot fall pregnant unless you are ovulating. If your menstrual cycle is regular, then you are almost certainly ovulating regularly. The length of your menstrual cycle will determine when you are likely to ovulate. The best way to conceive is to have intercourse around the time that you are ovulating.

To find out when you're most fertile, enter the first day of your last menstrual period and then the numbers of days of your cycle (usually between 20 and 45 days). Before trying to fall pregnant, keep a detailed diary of when your periods fall to determine the length of your cycle. This calendar will act as a guide. There are no guarantees that you will definitely ovulate between the days given, or that, if you do, you will necessarily fall pregnant in that particular cycle.
